Sexual assault referral centres offer medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been sexually assaulted or raped. They have specially trained pediatrician / Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNE) and support workers to care for you.

In an emergency you should always call 999. If you are unable to safely talk to the operator answering your 999 call, press 55 on your handset to let them know you are there.

Solace Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) provides a safe, discreet and caring environment to support people who have experienced rape or sexual assault. Solace is a place where you can come and talk in total confidence about the experience and receive much needed care and support from understanding professionals. Our services are available for women, men and children. And we can provide help whether the police are involved or not. You have done nothing wrong or anything to be ashamed of. So please don’t feel you have to carry on silently and bear it. Share it with us. It’s the first step to making a recovery.
